CoR Changes Effective 1st October 2018
As of the 1st October 2018, amendments to the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) law will commence under the HVNL (Heavy Vehicle National Law). These changes will align the existing laws more closely with workplace health and safety provisions.
Under the new legislative regime, ALL parties in the chain will have a duty to eliminate or reduce risks, “so far as is reasonably practicable”, to ensure the safety of any transport tasks.
In short, these changes affect ALL of us. If you or your business send or receive goods using a Heavy Vehicle with a gross mass of more than 4.5 tonnes, you become part of the supply chain.
ECS Project Logistics prides itself on maintaining a high level of compliance and professionalism, therefore to further continue our commitment and efforts, we have included CoR information leaflets and fact sheets regarding roles and responsibilities for you to read and familiarise yourself with.
